The university conducts admissions based on admission quotas, which are determined by state grants and payment contracts approved by the relevant decision of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan or the Cabinet of Ministers. Admission of applicants outside the admission quotas is carried out based on the permission of the State Commission. University admission is available to all applicants, either through state-funded grants or on a tuition-contract basis. Within the set quota, those with the highest test scores are granted admission on state scholarships. At the same time, the remaining candidates are admitted under the tuition-contract system according to their test score ranking.
Applicant registration is conducted annually by the University Admissions Committee from 15 June to 15 July. Applications are accepted (https://tsue.uz/courses/entrants/bakalavriatga-qabul-uchun-royhatdan-otish). Each applicant must take two major-specific examinations- foreign language (English, German, or French) and Mathematics. Additionally, irrespective of their intended program of study, all applicants are required to sit a common entrance examination in three subjects: Mathematics, Mother Tongue, and History. The Agency for Assessment of Knowledge and Qualifications under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovations of the Republic of Uzbekistan conducts admission exams to higher education institutions. The venues for the entrance examinations and the timetable for the publication of results are set by the aforementioned competent authority. Applicants will receive their results directly through the official online portal.
Starting from the 2025/2026 academic year, the admission process for bachelor's degrees in state higher educational institutions will be carried out in the following two stages:
In the first stage, applicants will register for the test from June 5 to June 25, and in July and August, they will take the entrance exams. In the first stage, no higher education institution is selected.
It has been established that entrance examinations for admission to state higher and professional educational institutions (with the exception of vocational schools) shall be conducted simultaneously, in accordance with the “first test, then selection” principle.
At the second stage: applicants select a higher education institution, a bachelor's program, and a mode of study within 15 days after completing the tests. Based on their test results, the applicant selects:
the higher education institution;
the bachelor’s degree program (field of study);
the mode of study.
