Tashkent State University of Economics (TSUE) is committed to providing access to higher education through various scholarship programs, tuition waivers, and redistribution mechanisms that reward academic excellence, promote inclusivity, and support students from different social backgrounds.
State Grants and Redistribution
State grants (scholarships) fully cover tuition for selected students. These grants are initially awarded based on results from the national entrance exam. Redistribution occurs twice a year (March–April and September–October) when vacancies open up, such as due to transfer, expulsion, or underperformance.
Eligibility for redistribution requires: a GPA of at least 4.0 out of 5.0, no academic debts, and involvement in research or social activities. Selection is weighted as follows: 70% academic performance, 20% research or social engagement, and 10% discipline and other factors.
This process is governed by Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 149, dated March 10, 2025, titled “On the Procedure for Awarding and Reallocating Grants to Students in Higher Education Institutions.” The resolution establishes rules for initial grants (based on entrance exams) and redistribution (for contract students seeking grants). https://www.lex.uz/uz/docs/7429154
