Degree Requirements for an undergraduate degree in World Economy and International Economic Relations
Students must complete their degree requirements to receive a diploma from Tashkent State University of Economics.
1) Program Profile
Award: Bachelor's,   
Normal length: 4 academic years (8 semesters)
Credit load: 240 ECTS
Language of instruction: Uzbek, Russian, English
Home unit: Department of World Economy & International Economic Relations
2) Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs)
Graduates will be able to:

  • Explain structures and dynamics of the world economy using core theories of trade, finance, and integration.
  • Analyze international economic data with quantitative, econometric, and computational techniques.
  • Apply international economic law, trade policy tools, and institutional rules (WTO, regional blocs) to real cases.
  • Design foreign trade operations (logistics, customs, payments, risk/compliance) and evaluate FDI/finance options.
  • Assess regional integration, global value chains, and development strategies for firms/governments.
  • Communicate policy and business analyses in clear, professional English (and one additional foreign language).
  • Demonstrate ethical reasoning, intercultural competence, and responsible global citizenship.
  • Collaborate effectively in diverse teams and lead evidence-based projects.
  • Use modern digital tools (statistics/econometrics, data visualization, trade databases) for decision support.

4) Graduation Requirements
Successful completion of 240 ECTS with all core requirements met.
Minimum CGPA: 2.6/4.0.
Internships completed and validated by the host & faculty supervisor.
Ethics & integrity clearance: no unresolved academic misconduct.
