Farkhod Abdurakhmonov, DSc in Politics, is an Associate Professor specializing in the World Economy. He received his higher education diploma from Tashkent State University of Economics in 1994. From 1994 to 2005, he worked in Uzbekistan's banking sector and higher education institutions.
He won an Indian government scholarship and studied at Hyderabad University of India from 2005 to 2007, earning his master’s degree in Economics. From 2008 to 2010, he served as a coordinator for the World Bank’s project on “Health and Education Monitoring and Evaluation Capacity Building” in Uzbekistan. Between 2010 and 2014, he worked as a chief accountant for foreign companies. From 2014 to 2019, he was a Ph.D. student in Taiwan; during that time, he received an Erasmus+ grant and studied at the University of Bordeaux, France.
He earned a Ph.D. in Social Research and Cultural Studies from National Chiao Tung University in 2019. His dissertation was titled “Peculiarities of Political Modernization and Democratization in the Republic of Uzbekistan (1991–2016).”
